MEETING MINUTES
JUNE 20, 2007

Members Present: Paul Challenger, Al Berg, Ed Benoit, Jim Dunn, Paul Anderson, Maria Dell'Ovo, Marilynn Foley
Also Present: Brian Bullock, Town Manager
The meeting was called to order at 7:05.
The Committee met to discuss a proposal by the Town Manager on Reserve Fund transfers. Two proposals were discussed: environmental cleanup associated with the removal of oil tanks from Rice School and funding of 2 vans for the Senior Center. Also discussed was use of the Reserve fund to help various town departments for petrol costs above what had been budgeted. The current balance in the Reserve Fund is $50,170.00.
A motion by Paul A. 2nd by Ed to use $32,816.00 for petrol and the remainder of the funds for Rice School soil cleanup. A friendly amendment by Al 2nd by Jim to use no portion of the Reserve Fund for W/S Enterprise Fund petrol expenses ($3446.00) was voted 6-1 (opposed Paul A.). The main motion was voted unanimously.
Al will make changes to the Finance Committee attendance sheet and submit it to the Moderator.
A motion by Paul C. 2nd by Jim to approve the minutes of May 30, 2007 as amended was voted unanimously (abstained Maria).
The committee does not plan to meet until the Moderator makes appointments for vacancies on the Committee.
The meeting adjourned at 8:17 P.M.
